Oxford: Christ Church Commemoration Ball 2014 – part 1

Thursday, September 18th, 2014

Christ Church College is such a grand venue for a summer ball and back in July the summer’s evening light was absolutely perfect for the occasion. After doing the promo photography I was really looking forward to this ball and it was worth the wait. These shots were made with a little point and shoot compact camera and I really like the snapshot feel to them. After the sun went down for a time it was so dark in Tom Quad that I could hardly see who I was photographing but somehow the camera still managed to focus. Many thanks to Tori for inviting me and for helping organise such a wonderful event.

Photo shoot: Tamsin [Fujiroids]

Thursday, June 13th, 2013

These Fujiroids are from my first photo shoot with Tamsin. I also shot some regular film and those images will follow after I develop them. It was a really fun shoot and I hope to do some more with Tamsin if time and weather permits before the University summer break. Regular visitors to this blog may recognise the location, I’ve used it quite a few times because I really like the big windows and the quality of light inside.

Oxford: Venus in furs*

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013

We finally got some snow this winter and as luck would have it I got invited to do a fashion shoot with an amazing team in an incredible location. The stars must have aligned just right because it doesn’t get much better than that. I shot mostly on digital because of the fast next day turnaround required for the shots but I also took along a film camera with me to shoot some Polaroids which turned out to be a huge hit. I’m really looking forward to shooting some more with this creative team so stay tuned.

You can view the final photo shoot images on The Tab website here.
